September 13, 2003 marked a special day on the calendar for many disciples in the Groton church – spending the day at Lake Compounce!

With the weather predicted to be overcast and a little rainy, over 40 disciples and their friends from the Groton/New London church turned out and had an incredible time of riding, laughing, and great fellowship.  So many of us were there that it seemed you couldn’t go far without bumping into each other…it was thrilling! 

The not-so-great weather meant not-very-long lines at every ride.  We were able to go on any ride as many times as we desired and once finished, could get right back in line usually near the front… wow!  Some even got to stay on the rides and were asked by the operator, “Do you want to go again” and were met by an emphatic, “YES”!
